Hello World,

So this is a little outdated already but I'm finally getting my pictures up from the May long weekend. May long weekend 2006, my friend Christy invited me up to Hecla island to spend the weekend camping with her and her parents....in her parents motor home. First, when I was 15 years old and camping with them - if you had told me that I'd be camping with them at 27, I would have laughed in your face. BUT, secondly what 27 year old (in normal society) have what a retired vice principal and nurse has. There's nothing wrong with camping in a tent, but can you get much better than a motor home with a WARM bed, a microwave, stove, kettle, running water, bathroom and even a tv and dvd player. The weekend was spectacular! I had an awesome weekend - we did SO much. Thought I'd share some pictures....

As Christy & I were driving up it rained for a few moments and then a beautiful rainbow emerged. Isn't it beautiful! God is magnificent!

AND, this is my beautiful (in many different ways - inside and out) friend Christy. She's been such a wonderful friend for 22 years or so. We met in kindergarten. She's been such wonderful friend, always there for me when I need her. And we just have a blast together.

We live in such a beautiful country!

One day we went for a bike ride. 6 kilometres ONE DIRECTION -
I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but for me it was quite the accomplishment. In the first picture to the left, it is of the whole group minus Christy's dad who was taking the picture. You see, Christy's parents always go camping with a bunch of their friends. And this was them. They were a blast to get to know.

And, Christy's dad was so awesome.
He even took us to the driving range.
And provided a free lesson to me, since
I've never really gone golfing.

And to conclude this little vacation,
Christy and I ca
ught a sunset at the properly named Sunset Beach.
Overall, this little 'mini' vacation was totally worth and it was very relaxing and a blessing to get away from the city and enjoy some fresh air. THANK YOU!
